Helpful Resources

Starting a new project is an exciting process, whether you’re custom building, renovating, or in need of construction consulting. We at R.B. Olson Construction LLC pride ourselves on the quality of our work and the honesty of our service. That’s why we’ve provided you with a list of questions and their answers so you can learn more about us and the nature of our business.

You Have Questions, We Have Answers

What is the cost per square foot?

We rely on the industry cost approach that licensed appraisers use, which varies from one area to another. The industry cost approach is adjusted frequently and varies from month-to-month. We are careful to be aware of how a bank values both the cost approach and market approach of the homes we build. Costs vary depending on the interior and exterior finishes you select for your home. Our goal is to always provide the best value to our clients.

Who Carries The Insurance During Construction?

R. B. Olson is responsible for workers compensation and builder’s liability. The homeowner is responsible for a typical homeowner’s insurance policy. This insurance will need to be in place prior to beginning construction. We will assist you in obtaining this.

Who Is Responsible For The Utilities During Construction?

We typically set all up all utilities in the land owner’s name.

Specialty Contractors

At R.B. Olson Construction, we value supporting the local community and the small and large businesses within it. We pride ourselves in working with the best team of local subcontractors and suppliers whose expertise ranges from lumber, cabinets, foundations to roofing. You can always expect every aspect of your home will be built with lasting quality with the help of this extended team.
